Zakynthos Island, Greece

An Audio Adventure

I absolutely love Greece. If you've been there, chances are you do too. The problem is its popularity and overcrowded cruise ship ports that, despite the hordes, we all love, such as Santorini and Mykonos. Less frequented, and equally loved by nature lovers, culture zealots, and party-goers, Zakynthos exudes the same captivating vibrance.

Greater than a Tourist: Zakynthos Island, Zante Greece, 50 Tips from a Local was authored by Senka Lazarevic Reynolds, a visitor who fell in love with the island and made it her permanent home.

In this guide, she shares the beauty of the island’s picturesque hilltop villages, historic monuments and churches, and gorgeous seascapes. Boating and other water sports, horseback riding, local festivals, and train tours are just a few activities she suggests.

One of many highlights she describes and the trademark of Zante, as the island is known in Italian, is the scenic Navagio (Shipwreck) beach, pictured above. Only accessible by boat, Navagio beach has magical turquoise waters, white sand and is backed by dramatic towering cliffs.

I had the pleasure of narrating this audiobook, where you will not only learn about the exotic must-sees and dos here but also very practical tips for where to stay, getting around, and even the smartest places to shop.
